It is often found in businesses that people may possess all of the ‘technical’ skills needed to perform their roles, but lack the people skills necessary to excel in the role.
This is a process that helps identify the specific people attitudes/qualities, skills and behaviours required in a particular role or set of roles, comparing these against the person(s) currently in the role(s) and identifying “skills gaps” which can then be addressed.
